Feet of Clay....

My poor daughter. She bought this ticket months and months ago - she adores 30 Seconds to Mars. She was determined she'd see their last Scottish concert for five years.
Her dad had taken a day off work and was all ready to hire a decent car to drive her and four friends up to Aberdeen. My sister was ready to have them all crash at her house overnight to split the journey home.
Then the snow came.
The option of driving became more and more ridiculous (and dangerous) as the week wore on. She decided to take the train, so he gave her the money for her return fare. Then the trains on Friday were cancelled. Then she thought she might try a bus. Apparently every other teenager from the central belt had the same idea, and there wasn't a seat for love nor money.
Finally she had to give up, incredibly disappointed, and distraught to have missed her favourite Rock 'Gods'.
Hmm. Apparently the group were 'very excited about playing their first gig in Aberdeen and were looking forward to putting on a great show for their fans who braved the weather to get there....'
Oh, and by not cancelling, they saved themselves the cost of having to pay back the kids monies....
They might be 'Rock Gods'.....but they have feet of clay.
