I feel old

#1 Son is thirteen today. Makes me feel really old having a teenage son!

Given the weather and lack of supplies in the shops, Mrs P and Pesky Princess baked a cake, with some help from me. It's packed full of raspberry jam we made a few weeks ago and it tasted very very good. Third time lucky in perfecting the recipe (that's three cakes we've demolished this week!).

We think it's far nicer and more thoughtful to make a cake than simply plod along to Tescos or M&S and buy one off the shelf. Whilst its no Cake Boss master piece, lots of time, effort and love went into this one which made it taste extra special.

He seems to have had a good day and enjoyed his presents. No bickering with his sister either...can only hope that lasts tomorrow too ;)
