Abandoned

The thrushes have left their nest unfinished. I had not suspected that the cat was responsible because she had kept close to her essential services (indoor bed, greenhouse bed, feed station, dirt patch and catnip), which are all in close proximity on the other side of the house. But perhaps they caught a glimpse of her through the window. I have not seen them today, but I have heard short, tentative bursts of thrush song.

Oh, well, but it was a very inconvenient place to have a nest.
