Early morning forest run
"Animals are not so guilty and hateful as men, but trees are the finest of all God's creatures. They are perfect".
- Cecil Malthus
A lazier day than the planned day trip but it was just too hot be on an exposed route for 6 hours. A short forest run for me and relaxation for the rest of the day.
I came across this quote in the book I'm reading "Armentieres and the Somme" by a NZ WW1 soldier, Cecil Malthus. It reminded me of how I felt when I stopped running and stood, listened and took this photo in early morning.
Yesterday's blip, 'Promise of tomorrow' if you're interested.
