Optical illusions

Well after all my studying, I think I deserved a night off so for the first time in months I had a wee night out with the girls. One thing that I thought about though is why people drink so much. Looking at the bar you see so many pretty optics, you choose one, you drink it and, more appropriate for us, you get vodka goggles where cringe-worthy behaviour seems appropriate. Just people watching for the night was such a giggle! I don't think I'll ever really be able to work out why alcohol has such an appeal though. Other than for a viewers amusement of watching drunken antics.
