Over the counter

I went to the pharmacy this evening to get some sudafed for a blocked sinus. Apparently, it is no longer available for reasons unkown to the pharmacist. This country does have some rules when it comes to drugs that I do find a little strange. For example, possession of codeine, amongst other things, has a mandatory four year jail sentence. Tourists bringing in any drugs for medical conditions need to make sure they have a letter from their doctor. On the other hand though, pretty much anything and everything else on the shelves can be bought without question and without a prescription!
