Carrots, Leeks and Thyme

I was waiting for the oil to heat up in my saucepan, when I realised what a colourful blip was sitting waiting to be photographed.

I'm making chicken and leek pie tonight (a Jamie Oliver recipe). With an accompanying glass of fine white wine of course.
