Family Portrait
It had the potential to be a very stressful day.... but it wasn't. Gathering the family together for a portrait - when everyone is so self conscious and doesn't like to have their photo taken, especially Mum. But the photographer Adam Reading was great ... made everyone very relaxed and somehow look good too. This is one that Alasdair, my brother took, so he's not in the shot (he had trouble remembering to smile anyway!).
My Mum was 75 this week and Dad turned 80 earlier in the year and last weekend they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. 2 years ago we almost lost Jennifer my nieice - but she's fit and well again now. Somehow it felt really important to get a family portrait done this year ... to record this moment. Who knows what the future holds.
