The Belle of Amherst and Her Cats

The wonderful old film (of the play) The Belle of Amherst was a big hit with my cats. Portrayed by Julie Harris, Emily Dickinson shares some funny memories of her cats catching snakes and dragging them into the kitchen. Here Max watches the DVD while Carlo watches off-camera. My Carlo, by the way, shares his name with the poet's beloved and long-lived Newfoundland dog.
