Chemistry Set

...about 15 years ago , when my oldest boy was 10, he was in the dining room with a friend, playing with his chemistry set...
We were in the living room when we heard a dull explosion followed by..."Wow! How cool was that?!"
We rushed in to see, through the evil smelling smoke....this stain on the ceiling!!!
Don't know quite what he had mixed up...but it certainly got a result!
We have decorated the dining room several times since then...but I have always insisted on keeping the stain as a reminder of our little bit of family history...
PS My son went on to get a 1st Class Hons. degree in Computer Science.
He now works as a software developer, earning a lot more than his old man!!!!!
Oh well, that's life!!!!
