Fractals for dinner
This is the weird cauliflower/broccoli vegetable I was presented with for dinner this evening. My first experience of it - I have no idea what it's actually called - was at home in England, where my Dad explained to me the concept of Fractal Geometry.
This is Wikipedia's definition of Fractals:
"A fractal is "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole."
This vegetable is a cone, made up of loads of little tiny cones which in turn are made up of loads of little tiny cones, and so on. Nature is awesome.
