Today my wee cousin turned 16. I'm finding this quite hard to believe. I remember the day she was born very clearly, in particular the first time I held her. We went round for a familie brunch and present fest and then I popped back later to assemble her birthday cake.

I spent the afternoon watching Mrs Doubtfire and wrapping pressies by the fire. Cliched it may be but it was lovely. And a real treat to have the house to myself.

Colin cooked tea for me. A deliciously lazy day.
