Moreton Bay Fig
This is the second Moreton Bay Fig tree I have blipped. They really are beautiful trees with an "Entish" appeal about them. The way their trunks, roots and branches grow has a pleasing flowiness. The bark on the tree trunk is wrinkles almost as if the tree was growing in one direction and then changed its mind. I can remember taking a stormy night photo under this very tree about 12 years ago so they must be quite slow growing as well.
I had a lot of errands to run this morning so I decided to combine them with my blip. It isn't easy taking photos during the part of the day when the light is at its harshest. Well, it is easy but I know the light would be better if I was in the same location around daybreak or sunset. My work/sleep pattern doesn't fit in with that. So at the moment I am trying to make the best of a bad situation. It is proving to be more than a little frustrating. Maybe I should be getting up and walking at the crack of dawn and then going back to bed for a few hours. I know I need the exercise.
My Christmas shopping is done for the year. What did I do before online shopping sites were invented? I also sent off a small package for the family back in the UK. All of that is more than I normally do. It's not that I don't care, I just don't usually seem to get around to it. Now I can relax and get on with the festive season. Jo's work Christmas party is this weekend which should be fun. Unsurprisingly my boss hasn't made any murmur of a get together for the staff. It looks like I will have to make the most of Jo's party.
Tomorrow it is back to the specialist to get the results of my MRI. That will upset my routine but at least it will get me into the city to take some photos.
