Like coral...

...is what the super-frosty trees look like at the moment. The scenery is quite amazing - it has been SO cold today and so still, it has felt like the whole world has been frozen in time, apart from the odd squirrel and jay that seemed to escape the spell.

Talking of coral, I once wrote a multi coloured page of music, for recorder, when I was about 7, called "The Coral of Steps". I dragged my poor mother round the foyers of local garden centres and supermarkets and made her sit with me while I "busked" for charity. She couldn't work out how one page of music could last so long, until I explained that I was playing it from top to bottom, then back upwards, ad infinitum. Strange child....
