Blanc with the white stuff

This is Christ Church at Holy Corner in Edinburgh - I love the way that the snow fits into all the nooks and crannies of the building.

Hippolyte Blanc was born in Edinburgh in 1844 to French parents, who were manufacturers and importers of ladies shoes. Blanc attended George Heriot's School, and was articled to the architect David Rhind when he left in 1859. He became one of Scotland's most famous architects of church buildings. There are many references to Chartres Cathedral in the Christ Church building!
