Brrrrr!

Bit nippy here today. No sign of the plague of amphibians we were promised by the local weather forecast this morning (in a slip up not quite worthy of James Naughtie the presenter assured us that today there'd be widespread "fost and frog"). Frost looks pretty but it's a pita frankly.

Risked getting Hermione out to take Son Two to the quacks for his MMR. Was unimpressed to say the least when told that there must be 28 days between that and the last jabs he had. 27 days ago :-/ Sent on my way.

Car wouldn't start, but with a bit of tinkering under the bonnet, and actually very little panic (though I did wonder how I'd get a just-walking 13 month old 2 miles home up a steep hill with no sling/carrier/pushchair), plus able assistance from dial-a-mechanic (TPD!) she was running again inside half an hour. Still got grease under my fingernails, and my feet have just about thawed out in time to go fetch Son One from recorder club. Go me!

Disappointedly have chosen to be sensible. Was supposed to be going to a gig in Liverpool with my cousin tomorrow (500 mile/9 hour round trip) but have cancelled in view of the weather. Boo :-(
