Sheets of empty canvas....*
Warning: RANT
We went for some quick comfort-food yesterday, and at the local snack-unit there was this dutch magazine called the "viva". On the front of the thing was a "no photoshop" logo/stamp thingy.
This was explained inside: because of photoshop girls get low self esteem / bad self image / weird-ass perspective of how they should look, etc etc.
So the good people at the 'viva' took it upon themselves to rid the world from this evil. A goal i cannot object against.... But what are these half-hearted people doing, the hypocrites?
They DON'T APPLY this to the COMMERCIAL CONTENT in the magazine
Please. Earth to Viva: its the stick figure girls in beautiful clothing advertisements that is doing half (if not more) the damage... for crying out loud, don't just take the money, rendering your wanna-be good logo-thingy useless, but stick to the plan, and BAN those commercial outings. djeez. That pisses me off...
The thing is, i don't specifically feel that much about this subject -> i'm sure it can have a big impact, but it feels like this is something for the more insane parts of America, and not for the people in the northern of plain-old Netherlands. But if you are bold enough to put things like this on your site:
"talk to your daughter before the beauty industry does" (direct quote)
...meh, maybe it just annoys me that they're pretending to be all "natural beauty" and stuff, and making loads of money from that "eeevil" beauty industry.
/RANT
anyway, i _did_ use the shop...
*did you get this one, secrets? :P
