Sinister Santa

Over the past week or so I've read quite a few blogs from folks decorating their Christmas trees and how their baubles bring back memories of Christmas past. I don't get that way about possessions myself. Maybe I'm just cold hearted, but if the house was on fire I would try & grab my family photo albums (and my childrens bedtime toys) and that would be it.
We 've been snowed in now for 11 days and despite it being far to early for that sort of thing, my children have enjoyed a little Xmas decorating, spread out over as many days as we could.
This decapitated horror with a hanging loop on his hat was in a box of otherwise quite nice baubles given to us by my late mother in law when my husband & I first moved in together many many moons ago. This year I intend to throw him out at some point over the festive period, but I'm a bit scared to in case he's as sinister as he looks and there are 'repercussions'.
