On the theme of Local Heroes.

Since the snow started falling this chap hasn't been able to get to work. Last Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday he was out clearing snow with a shovel. Helping passing cars when they got stuck and digging out an Ambulance car that got stuck after visiting a neighbour.

Yesterday he appeared with this! And proceeded to clear the junction, which is terrible in slippy conditions, and half of his road. He was pretty much up to the previously mentioned neighbour's house when a big Ambulance arrived to take the neighbour to hospital. Because of his hard work the Ambulance got in and out of that stretch of road, without difficulty.

Today he's out there again clearing the junction and the pathway down onto the next road. When I went out & said what an amazing job he was doing he shrugged & said "Yeah, well, I can't get to work"

So thank you very much, you made a big difference, especially to the neighbour who needed the Ambulance!
