Deer Farm, Round Green Lane
Another very cold day but at least where the sun has penetrated the snow is now beginning to melt. There is actually a whole stretch of green bank at the side of our road.
Late to the hairdressers and then tied up with M who was replacing the outside lights because the sensor had gone. In the end I gave up on the idea of getting any work done so I'll have to make Friday a work day. I decided I'd go visit my mum and dad after lunch. Enroute I passed the deer farm where this little group were resting by the hedge. They immediately showed an interest, probably thinking I'd come to feed them, but by the time I took this photo they'd clearly decided that I was a waste of space and that no food would be forthcoming. The deer farm appears to be an expanding enterprise and they now have another herd of deer loose in the grounds of Wentworth Castle.
The MI motorway crosses this view in line with the bridge and the outskirts of Barnsley can be seen on the hillside beyond.
