Snowfield

College was open again today and we all took in our AOP submissions. Quite an impressive set of images from the class, so surely someone will make it into the final selection. Not sure about mine though as people seemed to think my best shots were the climbers or the shot from the play in Govan last month whereas I had been favouring the more recent through the window shot. "Maybe if it was part of a series," is what the tutor said. After the class talked some more about images in the canteen with A - looking at some of the winning images from previous years and trying to understand them, and what makes a winner in the AOP Student Competition ! A bit of Critical Studies in action. After that, and a short time in the library to update my workbook before handing it in, I walked part of the way home in the beautiful afternoon sunshine. Still lots of snow about, as you can see from this shot of the arctic tundra South Gyle Mains.
