Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes?

or..........."who will guard the guards themselves?"

Whenever I visit the castle the array of rich historical symbols in and around the place always prompts the 'who guards the guardians' question in my mind.

Seems to me that even after the battle-scarred history depicted in the photo, in many respects the question remains valid of which individuals can be trusted to guard the public's interests against the abuse or misuse of power by those officials or organisations who exercise authority over the public at large.

Oh well, back to more practical matters of sifting through todays photos to put onto my new photo website. Have a great day blippers.
