Made it out of the house today, for a quick stroll to the sea with Katherine. Conor (thanks for all your well wishes yesterday) is a little better this evening and has managed to keep down properly his first food of the week (venison medallions - we know how to tempt him properly). The wind turbine on the promontory by the old power station was lazily turning as we scurried by in the cold.

The rest of the day was printing out Christmas cards and looking for things lost in the move back in July. Conor has lost his replica raptor claw (happily I can probably just order a new one) and I have lost the bolts that hold the table football machine onto the legs. The game is currently on the floor and only suitable for those under 4 feet tall. Mr B, despite having played the game about twice in all the years it was constructed in our last house, is now desperately keen to get it assembled. It may be to stop the kids playing with it: the noise is a bit annoying when you're trying to think. It may also be retaliation for the certain level of scorn used when I took charge of the bolts after disassembly in July "I think I'd better put those somewhere safe, don't you?" I clearly did.

Off to London tomorrow. I might try blipping on the go. Or not. We'll see. I may not even get there. My train is running... but only from Edinburgh. I'm allowing nearly 3 hours to get to Edinburgh (normally takes 50 minutes) so we'll see. Our car is not really viable (why oh why did we leave the 4 wheel drive in France and the convertible here?) so it'll be a taxi, train or bus combo. No-one at any train customer service numbers can tell me anything useful about trains tomorrow. So we'll just have to see.
