light at the end of the tunnel

I really wanted to take a photo of the Egyptian vase with the candle inside, but don't know how to do it. either the flash came on or, on manual, there wasn't enough light - help!!

School was fun today. I was team teaching with Craig, its always easier with 2. Then we had a non-traditional Christmas lunch (cheese pie!!) with the kids, it was great to sit with them, I should do it more often.
Then the afternoon, lessons were more lively! Home on the bus with Emily, putting the world to rights. She is moving to another school after Christmas and I will miss her.
Standing up all day at school was easier than sitting down after my fall yesterday, the only thing that hurt was walking up the stairs. How long does it take a bruised coccyx to heal?
