Not Champions League

I first played on this pitch 36yrs ago for Barton FC in the Catforth and district summer league, a 16yr old cocky, reasonably skilful right midfield player. Before the games we had to move the cows so at the end of the game we had usually collected more than the normal grass stains.
On a bonus point, it was usually a bit warmer than it was today.

The thermometer was still reading minus plenty but i decided to get wrapped up and get the bike out. Stuck mainly to the A6 and enjoyed(??) a brisk 20 miles. The feet and face were numb and i think i may have had icicles on the wotsicles. As i type the woodburner is blazing and the paint is nearly melting. GRAND!!
