Red smoke

Found a great website today, diyphotography.net, and I found the idea of photographing the burning fillament of a tungsten bulb. What I like about this project is I get to play with photography AND electricity AND fire :)

I only bought 3 bulbs to try out (going to need a LOT more to perfect the technique). This one was taken on my 7d using it's 8fps rapid fire mode. There's a few more good shots to process but it's late and I need sleeps.

Red hue was added in photoshop. I've seen people make them look like mario-style mushrooms so there's a project for tomorrow!
