Starling in the flax
I didn't realise starlings ate nectar! But there were quite a few with yellow beaks and foreheads as they stuck their beaks deep into the flowers of the flas plants on the river bank!
Funny how some days you have trouble finding something and some days it's hard to choose!
I liked the texture and shades of green in the flax with the contrasting red flowers.
Today as well as the starlings there was a heron in the river!
this isn't as sharp as I'd like, because the bird was making the flax move - I will have another go!!
