Evening

I was holding out, hoping for a brilliant sunset, but there was too much cloud over the hills.

Today was dry enough to work in the garden at last. I have a lot of plants that I have raised from seed that need to be in the soil. Poppies have to be removed to make way, and the ground prepared for planting. Tomorrow is likely to be hot and windy so I'm trying to get everything ready to put the plants in as soon as the cool southerly replaces the nor'wester.

The poppies I pulled out today were finished. They had given me so much pleasure. I took a large number of photos of them under all sorts of conditions, including this and this that I blipped.
