view from a (moving) window....
Had a rare day out without alfie. When I thought about it, it was the longest I have left him since I gave up work! how did that happen?
I went to Ikea in Bristol with Cathy to pick up a few bits. We went in her new baby, a gorgeous blue mini (I have to say I am biased as I have a gorgeous blue mini too..). She has wnated one for years and finally this year everything came together to be able to get it.
The drive there was stunnig, all frosty and a tiny bit snowy in places. It is a pretty stretch of motorway at the best of times but this time it looked incredible, so cold every time branch on every tree was white.
This is on the way home having miraculously got everything I went and no having spent too much!!!!!
The colour of the sky was amazing, taken very quickly out of the open window at 70 miles an hour trying not to freeze to the seat or get blown away by the icy wind.
Then round to mums to collect the wee one and help get her tree in its stand and the decs down from the attic and on to Sarinas to babysit Fleur. Fleur was an angel and mine was a devil! Would not go to bed, had a screaming tantrum just after she went up. She slept through it and only woke once had a little chat and a hair stroke and was off again. Alfie stayed quite sunny then got him home at 11.30, he went up fine and woke at 3am, came in to our room and went bonkers, lashed out at me and his dad, got put back in his bed and had a massive tantrum, screaming the place down in temper. Finally went to sleep at about 4am.
