Swan lake

Took myself off for a walk round the lake in my favourite park this afternoon before hitting the town for a hopefully successful shopping trip. The poor ducks looked pretty bewildered at the thick ice and after skating across to greet me they all crammed in the band of water lapping at the edges. I held my nerve pretty well i thought as this beautiful specimen glided within inches of me!
