Swans

Had a wander down to the river before work and was surprised to see just how much had frozen over.

There was the narrowest channel of water for these swans to get from one side to the other, but I still saw cygnets struggling with some kind of obstruction.

To be honest, I couldn't decide between this shot and one of cheerful festive lights. But I went with this because there was a little bit of a story to tell.
