Mud Glorious Mud!

Took a walk along the river bed today as the tide was right out. The light wasn't great so I started looking down.
It got me thinking about all this stuff that's been laid down for centuries. Old bottles, bricks and pottery etc. The Thames used to be everyone's dumping ground so I suppose there must be layers and layers of the stuff.
