NIMBY

There are several things I would not want in my backyard. These might be two of them. However, I read an article a while back about the expansion of cell phone networks and the need to put towers on private property. One person was getting paid $300/month "rent" for allowing a cell tower to be built on their property. How much am I worth I wonder. $300/month could fund a nice vacation every year, or a very nice vacation every two years. New lens, new camera body, new lights.....

These towers have been a landmark ever since we moved to this area. They are now a landmark for the new entrance road to the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge where I'm spending more time this winter.

The wife will know tomorrow if she has another job. Fingers crossed, but I think she'll get it.
