At last!

Today I decided I couldn't wait any longer so we went to find a Christmas tree. The first place we tried was very expensive so we ended up in a local DIY store where it was half the price we had been quoted earlier.

So now with the base firmly attached and filled with water, I set to to decorate it. The lights even worked first time! Is this a record?

As you can see, although the weather is much warmer than previously, (above freezing) there is still quite a lot of snow on the ground. It is melting but will take a while and there is more forecast for next week.
