Tete-a-Tete

I'm not sure what these two are communicating to each other, but it makes a sweet picture. After this brief, but loving, exchange, the deer wandered down the path in my direction and gobbled up the bird seed I had sprinkled on a bench by the trail.

Deer are drawn to sunflower seeds apparently. The other evening, just before going to bed, we watched seven deer wander around our back yard. They very skillfully bumped their heads into the bird feeder until all the seeds fell to the ground. Then they had a feast. Hungry mooches, that's what they are! But they are beautiful animals, and I love to watch (and photograph) them.
