Cracker

Using an unfamiliar camera meant I didn't do too well taking pictures last night. The gentleman on the right is David Lowery, he is a founder member of Camper Van Beethoven, a band I've loved since the 80s. They toured Europe in 1989 and 1990 after signing a deal with Virgin, however I missed them in '89 and got a ticket for their next tour. They split up in Sweden the week before coming to the UK and I never got to see them. David went on to form Cracker with the gentleman on the left - Johnny Hickman (who came out as 1/4 Scottish last night). Camper Van Beethoven reformed in 2004 or so and Cracker and CVB have been touring together ever since. However they can't afford to come to Europe, this is their first visit to the UK since 1994 as a support act, and it was only the two of them rather than either of the full bands. So this was the first time I'd seen David (and Johnny) play live. It was wonderful.
