DOLCOATH MINE

Although they have not been used for decades, I would hope that the many engine houses scattered across Cornwall never disappear completly. Very few now are taken care of. Such a pity that one day these amazing buildings may one day disappear of the face of Cornwall.

THE ROTATIVE BEAM ENGINE HOUSE HERE RAISED ORE AND ALSO PUMPED WATER FOR THE STAMPS AND DRESSING FLOORS, THE BUILDING WAS CONVERTED TO AN ELECTRICITY SUB STATION AROUND 1913
