...and I'm outta here!

A nice lazy morning....just kicking back with a cup of coffee!!


My husband spotted a red tailed hawk out along the edge of the woods at the back end of our property, so I grabbed my camera and headed out. (Yes, once again, I'm sure the neighbors were getting a good laugh out of seeing me in my jammies traipsing through the fields)

I wasn't able to get too close to him unfortunately, you could see that he was watching me every step of the way.

As I got out behind the shed, he took off across the field and I tried to pan with him as he flew. I was way too far away to get a good shot, so this one isn't very good, but I love birds of prey and wanted to post it anyway!

Jack is eagerly awaiting Santa Claus showing up tonight at our house on the fire truck!!
Every year the fire department heads out, lights flashing, sirens blaring with Santa Claus riding in the back of one of the fire trucks handing out little gifts and candy canes to the kids at every house in town!! It's a three night process, and they come to our house tonight!! (Glad it's a bit warmer today than it was yesterday!!)
