Island Santas

It was still kind of dark when we left the island to catch the ferry to Vancouver. Didn't rain til we drove closer to Seattle. So i caught these Santas on the porch of our cabin as we were leaving this morning- I painted them years ago from pieces of driftwood. We used to have more but they have been given away here and there. (sometime I'll get to painting more - there's no shortage of driftwood...!) I like to think of them as the Swedish tomtons, actually, little gnomes that keep watch over the farm at night in the winter. We need someone to watch over our "farm" while we are gone. Back sometime around Christmas.
