Bad More-not-really-news news: - Better? Really??

500 engineers at Facebook worked against a clock for weeks to redesign the 'look' of Facebook. Not only isn't it really better, but it caters to the oversharers specifically by the introduction of its new features; a running ticker tape of photos on your main page, the ability to pinpoint lifelong relationships with friends ? in other words ? now I would not touch it with a fifty foot pole rather than just a ten foot pole.

Good Encouraging news: - Times are changing

Change like this always occurs so slow, over many generations. Undoubtedly, in a climate where suppression of women's rights is at the order of the day, such major shifts in thinking will take even longer. But they will take place, eventually manifesting that which is true; that all human beings have the right to be in charge of their own destiny, regardless of race, sex or creed. Corrupting influence of Western society? Excuse me? More the fact that women are wising up to the fact that they can run their own lives if they just stand up to the old, outdated ways.
