Traffic

Technically speaking, this isn't the best shot that I took today, but it's certainly the most dramatic. I had intended to walk down Commonwealth Avenue and through Beacon Hill, maybe getting a few seasonal shots along the way. But somehow I ended up on Fan Pier, and got totally absorbed in watching the ships and boats come and go. There were even some sailboats out with their spinnakers up - a great sight to see in mid December (did I mention it was a beautiful day?)

This is the Spirit of Boston, which was out on a Christmas cruise (there was even a Santa waving from the bows) and the Grace Cosmos, a massive tanker which is being piloted into Boston Harbor.
