Electricity Before Christmas

It's said that Tampere is the Manchester of Finland. It has a long history as a significant industrial city, and the working class spirit takes place in politics, culture and everyday life.

We spent the weekend in Tampere, and this is the city's electric plant, Naistenlahden voimala. The blip is taken on the soil of former cotton factory (Lapinniemen puuvillakehräämö) which is nowadays a spa.

PS. Yep, I know the framing isn't perfect, there could be more smoke and sky on the top, but I wanted to include the boat in as well...
