Waltham Abbey

It's nearly 14 years since we got married, and this is one of the stained glass windows at Waltham Abbey, where we tied the knot.

Waltham Abbey is steeped in history, not least because it is the last resting place of King Harold, killed at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. It's where I grew up, and where my Dad and my Sister still live - so I still get the chance to visit the Abbey whenever I go back.

Despite the fact that Waltham Abbey as a town seems to be very much in decline, this wonderful building looks as good today as it ever did.
