HEDGE SPARROW CHICKS
We have a pair of Hedge Sparrows nesting in a topiary bay tree at out front door.
The nest is a large collection of straw formed into a ball with a hole in the side for access, the nesting chamber is lined with feathers and fluff and contains 3 little chicks almost ready to fledge.
The Bay tree is very thick and quite dark in the middle where the nest is, not easy to find a suitable place to photograph from.
