Brightly Lit

Today was our day to put up the Christmas tree. This year it's a commercially raised Fraser fir; tall, compact and green with a scent that wafts around the house and catches our noses so pleasantly and unexpectedly that we remark every time.

And it has lots of lights. Because as RS draped them around the kids remarked that it was probably time for some new LED type strings, the old ones having gradually peeled and faded until white is the colour that predominates. "But LED ones aren't complete." I whined. "They have weird colours and they have too much blue and not enough yellow..." And voilá, K produced two strings of incandescent mini lights from her closet, bargains from post holiday last year! And they have lots of yellow and not too much blue.
