Quiet Blipper

Celebration!

It was a cold windy day in Calgary. This scene was unfolding on the street below. P and I were in a cozy condo on the 11th floor. I was amazed to see a table being set up on the street in front of this church. Plates of food were being set out. I couldn't imagine why. The doors of the small church opened and people started to emerge. As they passed the table they picked up a plate and carried it off with them. I loved watching the movement, the flow and colour of the costumes (I think maybe African) and understanding that an important ritual was unfolding. No one seemed to be feeling the cold. A front row seat to something important.
