Leeks

Worked today - it's been a few weeks since I've worked on a Saturday and I didn't miss it one bit. But it's not too bad.

Jer had a SUPER productive day yesterday. He & J moved a table and shelf out of the basement, and 2 sofas around. Also did a huge goodwill run, as well as other errands. Those guys are awesome.

Jer picked out a Christmas tree on the way home, and fell into the same trap as we always do - picking out something that's far too big for the house. It's deceiving when you're trying to compare trees side by side.

I continued chipping away at getting the house organized and purging.

Made a potato-leek soup for dinner and a simple arugula salad. Love using stuff from our CSA bin.

We ended the night off by watching The Two Towers (but fell asleep during the 2nd disc, and missed the best part of the movie - the epic battle scene).
