The Letter

I found this letter over the weekend. Written by my Mother, it is an astonishing social document of the 1960's. I think you can read it but I must just add the end for you.

Cloudburst over Newnham. Wet baby, wet washing and wet sneezing dog. Totally destroyed fifteen bobsworth best birds nest.
Now the dog is tapping its way around our parquet floors snapping its jaws and breathing wetly over all. Washing hangs limply in the kitchen but baby sleeps on in spite of jet - type ride into porch.
