Mucus

The cold that has had me coughing and spluttering through the last week has finally broken and all the mucus is on it's way out. Not very pretty but I'm beginning to feel a lot more motivated again.

I spent ages with my sound card today trying to work out why it will no longer work when all I have done is place the whole innards of my PC in a different case. Bizarrely it will still work if I boot into Vista rather than Windows 7, despite having worked with Windows 7 for months. In the end I gave up and decided to make do with the on board audio which is pretty decent and I no longer have 5.1 speaker attached to my PC anyway so I'm not losing much. All in all it sounds like a good reason to buy a new sound card :)

This also frees up a PCI slot as newer sound cards go in the PCI-E slot so I can have a look at something fill up the empty slot (oo'er missus!).
