I have often sat patiently under the tree waiting for this guy to settle long enough for a camera click. As soon as he hears the first click he is gone... not to return until long after my patience wears thin. I do not have a very good zoom and finally today he got close enough to be my star for the day. Now... for the cardinal that seems to know when I am on the wrong side of the glass...
